Installation
Fast forward from 1996
to 2025 in under an hour.
A1 was designed to feel deeply integrated with your car and hide away any cabling, providing a final product that feels like it came like that off the factory floor.
This requires a bit of installation — but don't worry, your Porsche specialist should be able to install it in under an hour with the help of our guides.
Step 1
Bringing 30W USB-C power delivery to your Porsche.
To support wireless charging with MagSafe at fast speeds, 30W power delivery is required. The best way to do this is to tap off the back of the built-in cigarette lighter.
For your safety and to protect your car from damage, we strongly recommend that any installation or modification be performed only by a certified auto electrician. Provide them with the following guide to assist with the installation in your Porsche.
Step 2
Fitting A1
Once power delivery is set up, A1 can be easily installed by replacing the top single-DIN compartment in the centre console of any standard 911 (996) and Boxster (986).
It can be fitted in minutes and removed easily.
